Program Overview |
Optimal diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary hypertension (PH) in pre-term infants is clinically challenging, as there is currently a lack of consensus on clinical guidelines for neonatologists. As more neonatologists are diagnosing and treating pre-term infants for PH, there has been an increase in ongoing research and a national effort to establish clinical guidelines for the management of PH.
This module was captured at the Tackling Pulmonary Hypertension in Pre-Term Infants – From Identification to Outcomes satellite symposium at the 2015 Hot Topics in Neonatology® in Washington, D.C.

Learning Objectives |
At the completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
- Review factors that contribute to the development and progression of PH in brochopulmonary dysplasia (BPD)
- Discuss diagnostic approaches to infants with BPD
- Develop therapeutic strategies of PH in infants with BPD
