Program Overview:
Organizations such as the American Academy of Pediatrics state that the potential benefits of human milk are such that all preterm infants should receive it. Evidence is now available supporting lower mortality,fewer hospital admissions, and reduced secondary diseases with human milk strategies. This 1 hour, CME
accredited symposia will highlight recent advances in human milk research and technology and provide practical information to assist Neonatologists in implementing exclusive human-milk based diets in thier Neonatal Intensive Care Units.
